Collaboration with Industry Leaders at Bharat Tex, Bharat Mandapam

Ms. Monika Choudhary, Assistant Dean of Sharda School of Design, Sharda University Agra, visited Bharat Tex at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, on 15th February 2025, where the Sharda School of Design shared a booth with WRA, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The booth, located at Hall No. 11, showcased the university's commitment to the textile and apparel industry.
During her visit, Ms. Choudhary had the opportunity to meet with key industry figures, including the Director General of WRA, Dr. K.K. Mishra, and his team, as well as Dr. Mrinal Choudhary. They discussed potential collaborations for the upcoming National Conference on Active Wear, scheduled for 25th April 2025, which will be held in association with WRA. This conference is poised to bring together leading experts in the field of activewear to share insights and innovations.
In addition to the discussions about the conference, Ms. Choudhary also met with prominent representatives from the textiles and apparel industry. This included Dr. Arindum Basu, Director General of NITRA, and Dr. Roopali Shukla, National Head of ATDC, who are actively engaged in shaping the future of the Indian textile sector.
The central focus of the meeting was to explore avenues for collaboration between Sharda School of Design and these industry leaders. Key topics discussed included offering consultancy services, developing joint projects, and initiating research and development (R&D) initiatives that could benefit both the academic community and the industry.
The visit to Bharat Tex provided Sharda School of Design with an invaluable platform to strengthen ties with industry giants and position itself as a key player in driving forward innovation and development in the textile and apparel sector.
