Sharda University Agra, in collaboration with the Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, recently organized a thought-provoking Sangoshthi (conference) on the theme "Emerging Trends in Research: Bharatiya Idea of Bharat." This distinguished event brought together scholars, academicians, and thought leaders to explore the Indian perspective of nationhood, knowledge, and dharma, reflecting on the evolving role of Bharat (India) in the global research landscape.
The program began with an auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, along with Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, National Executive Committee Member of the RSS, and the esteemed deans and directors of the university. Their presence set the tone for a day filled with intellectual exchange and deep contemplation.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, who shed light on the Bhartiya Idea of Bharat as a concept that transcends political boundaries. He emphasized that the idea of Bharat is not confined to geographical borders but is a civilizational ethos deeply rooted in Dharma (righteousness), Vidya (knowledge), and unity in diversity. Dr. Vaidya explored the significance of these principles in shaping Bharat's historical, cultural, and spiritual identity and how they continue to influence contemporary thought.
A key highlight of the Sangoshthi was the extensive discussions around the role of research in understanding and preserving the Bharatiya perspective on nationhood, culture, and knowledge. Scholars debated and shared insights on how modern research can integrate ancient wisdom with contemporary challenges, fostering a holistic understanding of Bharat's role in the modern world.
The Sangoshthi was coordinated by Prof. Deepak Kumar Singh and Dr. Jyoti Kulshreshtha, who ensured smooth proceedings and facilitated thought-provoking conversations throughout the day.
This event was not only a celebration of academic inquiry but also a reaffirmation of Bharat's enduring cultural values and intellectual legacy.
