Engaging competition called Readers Roof: Executive Summary Writing

Access Denied Club of the Anand School of Engineering & Technology (ASET), Sharda University, Agra, organized an engaging competition called “Readers Roof: Executive Summary Writing” on 24th December 2024. The event aimed to help students enhance their skills in analyzing and summarizing by challenging them to write clear and professional executive summaries based on a research paper.

This event was made possible due to the motivation and support of Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, Vice-Chancellor of Sharda University. Prof. (Dr.) R. Swaminathan, Dean of ASET, also appreciated the clubs efforts and encouraged them to continue organizing such thought-provoking events.

Over 40 students from different fields participated, showcasing their ability to simplify complex research and present key insights in a well-structured manner. The competition fostered critical thinking and effective writing skills, highlighting the growing interest in research-based learning.

Prof. Kamlesh Deshmukh witnessed the event and admired the enthusiasm of the participants. Prof. Priyanka Tyagi, Coordinator of the Access Denied Club, emphasized the importance of research-oriented skills. Mr. Ravindra Saxena ensured that all facilities were well-arranged for the smooth execution of the event.

The competition was a success due to the hard work and dedication of the clubs team members, including Sampanna Katiyar (President), Mahak Jain (Vice President), Vanshika Gupta, Ankit Khanra, Onaiza Shahid, Rishabh Telang, Nikhil Yadav, Riya Saraswat, Riya Bansal, DJ Suryansh, Tushaar Kapil, Priya Parihar, Arya Sharma, Nidhi Sharma, and Kushagra Upadhyay. Their commitment to creating meaningful learning opportunities continues to set high standards for student-led initiatives at Sharda University Agra.

The event concluded with participants expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their professional skills in a supportive environment. Sharda University remains committed to nurturing students for a “Viksit Bharat.”

Prof. Achal Kumar, Head of CSE, along with Prof. (Dr.) Viney Sharma and all faculty members of the CSE department, also extended their support to the event. Convener Prof. Gopalji Varshneya inspired students to take ownership of their learning journey and actively engage in academic and research-driven activities, setting a benchmark for excellence at Sharda University.
