Expert Talk on Prospects & Challenges for Research and Grant

Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University Agra organized an Expert Talk on “Prospects & Challenges for Research and Grant” on 30th September 2024 to foster academic growth and guide researchers on funding opportunities. The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and research scholars. It was graced by key dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) M. H. Vani, Registrar, Sharda University and Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Sharda School of Pharmacy. The keynote speaker was Prof. (Dr.) Sachin Kumar Singh, Head of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Quality Assurance from Lovely Professional University, Punjab.

Dr. Sachin Kumar Singh delivered two technical sessions— first on Scientific Writing, where he emphasized clarity and structure in research papers, and second on Research Funding, providing insights into applying for grants and writing research proposals. His sessions were well-received, with active participation from the audience.

In addition to the keynote sessions, Dr. Singh also shared practical tips on aligning research proposals with funding organizations' priorities, which provided a strategic approach to increasing the chances of securing grants. A panel discussion followed, where experts, including Prof. (Dr.) Amitanshu Pattanaik, Dean R&D, SUA and Prof. (Dr.) Gyanendra Kumar Sharma discussed challenges and strategies for scientific writing and obtaining research funding. More than 185 delegates joined the event marking the day as a successful and insightful experience for all attendees. The session strengthened Sharda School of Pharmacy's commitment to advancing research and academic excellence. Dr. Manish Pal Singh, Mr. Ravi Kumar, and Mr. Umakant Singh were the coordinators of the event. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Sharda University Agra, Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi Ranjan, extended warm wishes, emphasizing the university's commitment to driving innovation, promoting research and academic excellence of the community.
