Organized a cancer awareness program

Sharda School of Pharmacy, under the aegis of Sharda University, Agra, successfully organized a cancer awareness program, on World Cancer Day, at Seth Shyam Lal Inter College on February, 4th 2025. The event centred around the theme “Stronger Together Against Cancer-United by Unique Strengths” aimed to educate students and the local community about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options.
The program was graced by the presence of Chief Patron, Honourable Vice Chancellor Maam Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Ranjan, and Patron Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Sharda School of Pharmacy.
Lectures were given by students of D. Pharm. 1st year and B. Pharm. 3rd year, providing valuable information and perspectives. Additionally, expert lectures were delivered by Dr. Gaurav Singh Sikarwar, Ms. Gunjan Sharma and Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma, sharing insights on various types of cancer, their symptoms, and the latest advancements in cancer treatment. Interactive sessions allowed students to ask questions and discuss their concerns with experts.
The event was convened by Ms. Gunjan Sharma, with coordination by Dr. Gaurav Singh Sikarwar, Ms. Gunjan Sharma, Mr. Umakant Singh, Mr. Saurabh Bhardwaj, and Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma. Awareness campaigns were conducted through the distribution of note-pads, pens and posters.
The event saw over 500 participants, including students and teachers. The interactive sessions and workshops received positive feedback. The success of the event highlights the importance of such initiatives in raising awareness. Sharda School of Pharmacy, Sharda University, Agra, remains committed to organizing more such events in the future to promote health and well-being in the community.
