Sharda University Agra Celebrated "Sharda Shakti Samman Ceremony" on the occasion of International Women's Day.
"Sharda Shakti Samman Samaroh" was organized on the occasion of International Women's Day at Sharda University, Agra. The program was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Sharda University Agra, Madam Professor (Dr.) Jayanti Ranjan, Director of Anand Engineering College, Dr. Shailendra Singh and all the special guests with lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana in front of Goddess Saraswati.
Honourable Vice Chancellor of Sharda University, Agra, Professor (Dr.) Jayanti Ranjan said in her welcome address that women in India have been obedient and respecting each other is more important than gender discrimination. Women should learn lessons from their elders, teachers, peers and other role models to achieve success in life. We should try our best to make women strong and self-reliant along with trying to change society's attitude towards women.
In todays facilitation program women powers from Agra and surrounding areas who have gained fame at national and international level in various fields were invited. Some names amongst were Dr. Ruchi Chaturvedi, Dr. Renuka Dang, Mrs. Anuradha Bhatia and Mrs. Nirmala Singh. Apart from these, other women powers of Agra city, porter Smt. Mudra Devi, poet Shailbala Agarwal, Vijay Tiwari, Usha Sharma, Dr. Rakesh Bedi etc. were also honoured.
