Three-day Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values

Sharda University Agra proudly concluded a transformative three-day Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values, held from August 12 to 14, 2024.

This AICTE-approved initiative aimed to enrich educators with foundational principles and ethical frameworks essential for fostering holistic development in academic environments.

The program, which received official accreditation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), brought together a diverse group of faculty members and academic leaders from various institutions including G L Bajaj Mathura, HCST Farah, BBDIT Ghaziabad, FET Agra.

Over the course of the event, more than 50 participants engaged in a comprehensive curriculum designed to integrate universal human values into educational practices, thereby enhancing their teaching methodologies and personal growth.

Honourable Vice Chancellor of Sharda University Agra, Prof (Dr) Jayanthi Ranjan, the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Function, emphasizing the critical role of human values in shaping responsible and compassionate educators. Her insights underscored the importance of embedding these values into the educational framework to cultivate a nurturing and ethical academic atmosphere.

The FDP featured a series of interactive sessions including workshops, seminars, and discussions led by Dr Vanchana Singh and Dr Rajkumari Ji, distinguished facilitators from AICTE. Topics covered included ethical leadership, value-based education, and strategies for implementing human values in curriculum design. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in collaborative exercises aimed at developing practical approaches for integrating these values into their teaching practices.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the programs impact on their professional and personal perspectives.

Dr. Jyoti Kulshreshtha, Convener of the FDP said that Sharda University Agra continues to be at the forefront of innovative educational practices, dedicating itself to the holistic development of both students and faculty.
